The land that was one….

Movements in history made us neighbors

For many those were some deceitful endeavors,

Our relations since, are like a roller coaster ride

Aftermath of which is a gigantic divide,

Their tranquility now seems to be utterly shattered

Harmony and integrity is blithely battered,

The blame predominantly falls on governors

But those governed, face  the brunt of tremors,

We stand in opposition on political affairs

Where allegations are based on fabricated layers,

The magnitude of vitriol proliferates further

Remoteness thus destroys the splendor,

The interstate peripheries have separated lineages

Families are barred due to political cages,

Now exists therein only a connection of heart

Thanks to the rulers who pushed them apart,

Some want this land to become one again

By going back to the point where it all began,

There is an urge to ward off the devil’s force

That deprives us of the heavenly pours.
